The 14th European Conference on Mixing will be held in Warsaw, Poland from September 10-13, 2012.
The aim of the European Conference on Mixing is to bring together scientists and engineers working in the fields of fluid mixing and contacting species, and their applications to process industries. The scientific program will provide an opportunity for participants to exchange new ideas and information on both mixing fundamentals and mixing applications will. High standard keynote lectures will be delivered from by outstanding researchers and scholars invited both from academia and industries.
Conference chair: Prof. Jerzy Baldyga.
Please visit the conference website (http://mixing14.eu/) for more information.
NAMF celebrated its 21st birthday at the AICHE meeting in October in Minneapolis, marking 21 years as an official forum within AICHE. On this occasion, Minye Liu (DuPont, Vice President of NAMF) presented the 21 Most Influential Contributions to Mixing Research. This list was compiled by Minye based on votes from mixing award winners and leading researchers in mixing around the world, with assistance from Profs. Calabrese and Kresta. The major contributions begin in the 50's, with a fairly steady progression over the years, culminating with several major book texts. NAMF hopes that this list will provide a framework for graduate study and for technical experts who are new to the fascinations of mixing.

The European Federation of Chemical Engineering (EFCE) promotes scientific co-operation in Europe between engineers and scientists in order further advance the development of chemical engineering.
The Working Party on Mixing deals with divers topics, including single phase mixing, gas-liquid mixing, solid-liquid mixing, liquid-liquid mixing, gas-liquid-solid mixing, reactive mixing, stirred tanks, static mixers and high-shear mixing devices, at both fundamental and industrially applied levels.
